Small Business September 2006
More than 300 small business events will be held across NSW next month during Small Business September 2006.
Small Business September is an annual month long showcase supporting the growth and professional development of the small business sector.
It is organised by the NSW Department of State and Regional Development, with more than 120 partners offering events.
The NSW Government sponsored the first ever small business hypothetical in the lead-up to Small Business September 2006, “For Love or Money?”, on August 23.
It involves Peter Thompson, the presenter of ABC Television’s Talking Heads, posing questions to an all-star panel during the hypothetical on the hazards, pitfalls and challenges of running a business.
On September 25 a forum on future business trends will be held at the Powerhouse Museum in Harris Street, Ultimo.
A panel of experts will identify the economical, social, environmental and technological trends affecting small businesses, their implications and how to profit from them.
